The crop protection paraffin oils in the TotalEnergies Special Fluids line are used as insecticides, miticides, or fungicides and are authorized for use in organic farming in Europe. These substances have been registered in accordance with the E.U. Pesticides Framework Directive, one of the most draconian global standards, applying the European Pharmacopoeia Reference Standards. Because of the composition and great purity of the oils marketed by TotalEnergies Special Fluids (especially the absence of aromatic compounds), the products have no health or environmental classification. This Total Special Fluides range addresses the ever-growing health and environmental concerns related to pesticide use.

The Total Ecosolutions advantage

This solution is physical: they create several micron thickness films that coat the plant’s surface, suffocating insect eggs and larva for example, or inhibiting the growth of fungal spores. this specific mechanism makes the oils usable on a variety of crops and does not have any resistance in target species.
